Câmpenița
There are 812 Hungarians of the 820 inhabitants in the village. According to a folk tale the village got its name when it belonged to one common parish church with Mezőménes and this village gave the half of the believers of this church. ’The common church stood on Képes Hill (Picture Hill) between the two settlements, at the foot of the hill there is a marshy area which is called the lake of Church.’ The village people’s main income is from reed and bulrush processing, broom binding.
